I feel terrible as I have really been neglecting this poor blog for the past couple of weeks. First my cousin came to stay, then Kamyar and I had to sort out some things in our Website Empire (as my cousin calls our collection of websites and blogs and all that), then I started working very hard on this new project for a picture book, then my dad’s book arrived and all I wanted to do was to read that, then suddenly the picture book project came to a halt and on that same day I got another assignment which kept me super busy for a further three days and left me with absolutely no time to clean around me or groom myself even, let alone write in my blog. It was all worth it though as yesterday evening when I clicked on that send button and for the first time in days had enough time to spend in front of the mirror to actually look at my face instead of running past it while hitting myself on the head in an attempt to flatten my hair, I realised that by working so hard to make my deadline, I had succeeded in producing not one, but two things to be proud of; my art and also a beautiful moustache that was now decorating my upper lip and would without a doubt put even my dad’s moustache to shame.
As I admired my new Clark Gable look in the mirror, I remembered my last conversation with Kamyar that evening before he had left home for his nightshift.
Me: ‘I’m so sorry, I must look very bad.’
He: ‘No not at all.’ Kiss ‘That’s nice; I’d forgotten how soft you were.’
And now I knew he hadn’t just said that to be nice; my new moustache was indeed very soft.

You have done a very good job on channel 4 blog. I suppose you follow channel 4 news now that John Snow is in Tehran.

I saw your art work on Channel4, your family must be very proud of you. your great picture is the first and the main between 32 others. You're getting greater every day my friend, I really love to meet you, do you think it's possible?

I love it, that's a great pic, now kept the original one right ?

Sorry Em, unfortunately my beautiful moustache had to go at the end as I was making too many small children cry ;-)

Thanks Behrooz and oh yes I follow Channel 4 News. That’s actually my favourite news and the only one I can always watch without getting too annoyed.

Thanks Gazankhan :-) and yeah why not, maybe we could meet sometime.

Thanks Asad, yes I did keep the original. Actually I might put a bigger version of that on here as the one on Channel 4 is very small.

Shirin joun so sorry to bother you this much. This morning I was in hurry but I wanted to see the illustrations on the same time. I must have daltonisme. I saw all the words in black. I turned the cursor everywhere I couldn't see any change, that's why I asked you on which word it is. When you answered me I saw that in blue. I don't know if it was the excitement or what which made me see all in black. Any way it's great I really like it. It really shows how Iranian parties are. I love your work.

hi shirin, I thought i recognised your artwork- i also only like channel 4 they usually give "both sides of the story" and tend to have a lot of info about iran usually....great picture by the way : how did you come about doing it? I also feel for you with the "clark gable"...its even worse when you do night shifts- i think hair grows more when you don't rest enough--- i will do a study on this at some point...LOL!

What do you mean by "my new moustache"? Not clear to me.

Aaah Marieh, hairy legs, I’d completely forgotten about that! Good job it’s winter now and no one really gets to see any of that :-)

That’s funny Ostan but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your sight, it was probably just the excitement that was making your eyes go funny, hee hee.

That is so true Anahita; when one does not get enough rest, one’s facial hair seems to go completely wild for some reason. It would be fantastic if you could do some research on that ;-) About that picture, someone from Channel 4 blog contacted me because they had seen my website. It was really great fun doing that picture.

Anonymous, exactly what are you insinuating with this comment? That there in fact is nothing new about my moustache because I have always had one? Or is it perhaps a lot more innocent than that like for example you don’t know what a moustache is?
