O poo :-(
Can’t even be bothered to take the piss.

I don’t know how much of this is true but according to Mehdi-joon, after the match the Iranian government sent a telegram to the captain of the Iranian team saying, ‘Now can you at least try and get our rug back from the Portuguese?’

Ola

Honestly I wonder if that was true?

They had lost all hope even before the game, the previous day they all acted like it was going a big torture and it really was, no doubt about that; poor things, I did tell them that it was horribly wrong to send them before those ruthless, merciless lions and God and you all are my witness, but nobody listens to me these days. I don 't know what's wrong with these people!

I was quite sure that we're going to lose against Portugal but when I read your last shot, I got some hope. I was thinking maybe a miracle happens. May be the players play very very well. When you explained about your shirt on the colours of Iran's flag ... When at the begining of the game every one in the stadium was singing the Iranian anthem, when during the match we heard all the time Iran, Iran ....
Unfortunately we lost, what can I say ?
It reminds me of a book that my mum used to read for me when I was a kid. The day befor norouz there was an old woman who was cleaning her house all day long to prapre herself for the arrival of Amou norouz. When she finished she felt so tired the she fell asleep. Amou norouz passed when she was asleep. He put a flower in her hair and went a way. When she woke up she realized that she has missed amou norouz again. And she told herself: What a shame to see amou norouz I have to wait one more year. We too, to see Iran playing the world cup we have to wait four more years!!!

Nice story from ostan! soory for the iran, but this time I didnt doubt that iran ll lose. last holiday in Lisbon, i got an idea what football means to the portuguese. Honestly there was no restaurant(no matter how luxurious), bar or corner shop that didnt have a loud tv, so people can watch football at all times. poor Jon had to tolerate both TV and football, since they wanted to be nice to their male foreigner guest, he would always get the best seat close to it...obrigado!

That’s a joke Em.

That was a big torture Gazankhan :-( playing it for them and watching it for us. Hopefuly next time they’ll listen to you, the wise man of the east :-)

Ostan, I’m glad I gave you some hope even if it didn’t last :-( After the game I was so glad I had not made that outfit for myself; at least this way I did not have to go through the humiliation of travelling all the way back from London, dressed as an Iranian (loser) flag.

That’s funny Marieh ;-) poor Jon.

Yeah, isn’t it? Iranian Idiot ;-)

Did you watch the match Mariamusic? It’s a joke about that anyway.
