There are birds singing outside my window. How frightening. Birds of death. One of them sounds like it’s got a very bad cough as well.
Now if I had that Critical illness Cover maybe the insurance company would send some people over to shoo these birds away from my home. I would have liked that.

In the US we just take out our shotguns and start shooting till the birds stop. That is until the birds develope opposable thumbs and learn to shoot ...

Crows? Maybe I got it wrong, but I can't think of any other "bird" that coughes :D

Anyways, I have missed the croaking cough of birds in black. We only have Jonathan's here in Toronto (with different surnames I guess). You got that right. They come from Lake Ontario.

I always have a "bird feeder" in my yard to attract birds of all species ... i do have to hose down the yard everyday to get rid of the poop (pardon my French), but I figure if you want the birds you gotta put up with their "shii" also .. like anything else I suppose :-)... anyhow; this year I thought I'd better take it down just for this winter :-( I still do get lots of hummingbirds which I love. By the way, doesn't the "bird flu" just affect the chicken?!! I'm not sure. Does anybody know?

Apparently this bird flu is expected to kill over 5000 people in the UK if it arrives here! I don’t know what the symptoms are but I hope it’s not that I will grow feathers and have my hands turned into claws (how horrific would that be Asad, I won’t even be able to shoot them then!) Anyway I called the insurance company and apparently even if bird flu does arrive in the UK, they will not be sending specialists to shoo the birds away from my home! So I guess no Linda, it might seem like socialism is still alive in Europe but as a matter of fact it’s well and truly dead.

Thanks for the tip Dr o2, I’ll be keeping the phone handy for when I see any sniffling, coughing birds hanging around my window ;-)

So Azad do you seriously not have crows in Toronto? Just Seagulls? Those birds are very rude. We have both of them over here but the crows are much nicer.

Timajoon you’re probably right, I don’t think humans can catch bird flu now but the other night on the news they kept saying that there are fears that this virus could mutate into a form that can affect us too. Although today on the news they were saying that this was quite unlikely to happen which made me think they were having all that hoo-hah about it the other night to distract people from the news of that scandal over all those millions of pound of soldiers’ salaries that was lost in some kind of scam :-o

And another question: how is it possible that one of these bloggers who send "auot-comments", who send meaningless comments to take us to their own site, how come he left me a comment on one of my August's post?! all the way backwards?! Oct.16 comment on my previous in August! I noticed this chcking my mails.

It’s good to have you back Gazan. I thought you must have been busy :-)
Those spam commenters do that so you don’t find their comment straight away and delete it. I know I have one somewhere as well but I can’t find it :-( It’s very annoying.
